Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken on the western slope of the Tehachapi Mountains in Central California. It is a little unusual to get snow this late in the year as temps are around 75 to 80 degrees F. This dusting was left by the leading edge of a cold front that should be around until Monday. The heavy snow is supposed to fall over the next couple of days. I missed the exposure a little in the field so I adjusted it in Photoshop. The orange color in the foreground are wildflowers that are just starting to emerge. Soon the hills will be covered in flowers. JB
