Photographer’s Note
Hello everyone, This is my first post to Trek Earth. I have been a lurker for about 3 months now and I really enjoy the creativity and skill on display here. I look forward to your critiques and advice as I am here to learn and develop my craft.
This picture is of the Lower Kern River in Central California. It is known far and wide as an excellent rafting and kayaking destination, It was the site of the whitewater events at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. This really is just a trickle of water compared to the volume of water normally flowing through here. That dark area in the lower left is about 10 ft. or a little over 3 meters deep. In the spring the water line would be just about the top of the frame. It's worth noting that the river is about 60 ft. or about 18.3 meters wide at this point

Hi Jeffrey!
Welcome to TE with this stunning first post! I really love it. Perfect contrast, sharpness, and movement in the water. Nice composition.
Well done!

Lovely timing for the water effect, and nice black and white treatment.
Could crop a bit off the top of the pic to imho improve the compoisition.
