Photographer’s Note

This beach is just outside the Golden Gate Bridge at Baker Beach. This shot was taken during Sunset and I used a Cokin 173 Blue/Yellow VariColor Filter, which works like a a Circular Polarizer, but instead of changing the brightness of Black and white tones, it varies the color of the blues and yellows, and has especially large effects when dealing with water.

Stunning image and great colours captured. Whats even better about this shot is that you left a good deal of the beach still in shot so that your eye leads you down to the waters edge.

Fantastic colour, which makes this a real eye catcher! That filter worked like a charm in this case. I like the ultra wide view too, which gives us a close up of the beach while also showing the larger view of the water and sky. Excellent work!
