Photographer’s Note
Hills of the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve; some people can be seen on the far hill, they are very small dots on this photo.
It's a large park (1,745 acres / 7 square km) with trails that become crowded for a few weeks every spring when the poppies and wildflowers bloom. Besides California Poppies, there are purple and yellow flowers including owl's clover, lupine, goldfield, cream cups, and coreopsis.

Beautiful picture of spring bloom in the Mojave Desert. I've seen the similar bloom in 1998 during El Niño everywhere in the Southwest...
Thanks for share.

Hi David, Nice shot to include many other flowers as well as poppies in you froeground. It is nice to see layers of flower hills in your picture. A well composed photo.
I have added this photo to the California Poppy Theme.

This is a good scnery shot, David.
I definitely think the contrast between the greens and the yellows and oranges can be increased and even more saturated, and also a bit sharper too.
good point of view and framing.

That is really pretty countryside in bloom. The colours are subtle but interesting. Nicely balanced gentle hills against the sky. The paths add wonderful detail and give the eye places to stop for a moment.
