This is a solo shot of the blue heron we came upon recently in the waters between SF and San Leandro Bays at Alameda. See yesterday's photo for another view of our heron together with some of our other local inhabitants.

Technical: Cropped, and contrast and a bit of saturation added.

Hi Jackie
What an angry bird! It looks like having an argument with something what is outside of the picture. I think that much should be also be done to fix its dress.

Hi Jackie,

I've been trying to get a shot of a heron for months but even my best stalking is to no avail!
The light must have been difficult for you but you've manged it well to leave good detail in the shot. Well done.
