Photographer’s Note
On our walk yesterday morning along the estuary between SF and San Leandro Bays, we came upon this blue heron and cormorant ignoring each other. Then a pair of ducks swam by. A small squadron of pelicans did a low fly-by at the same time but, alas, I couldn't fit them into the picture (oh, well, maybe next time). I just love Alameda -- so close to nature in the middle of a megalopolis!
Technical: Slightly cropped to take out foreground rocks and grass, and contrast applied.
