Photographer’s Note
I am taking some time away from Boston and its cows, and am today presenting another image from one of my favorite hangouts, the decommissioned Alameda Naval Air Station. This is a longer shot of the old abandoned main Mess Hall; see this earlier image for a closer view of the building.
I love this old building, but it is basically in ruins. It would be a shame if it were torn down during reinvention and gentrification of the site by the city of Alameda.
Technical: Cropping and sharpening and removal of some distracting blemishes.
