Photographer’s Note
Wish I could capture the depth and greatness in this view better. In real life it was breathtaking.

A very beautiful view. It's interesting with the different colored rocks going from yellow to orange to red. I have been to the canyonlands in Utah so I understand how hard it is to capture such unbelievable scenery on film. I think if the foreground was just a little sharper it could help.

Welcome to TrekEarth Richard:-)
I can well imagine how breathtaking it must be to stand on this high cliff look out over the canyon terrain as far as you can see...it is certainly one of my dream destinations.
I like how you waited until the sinking sun caught the high points of the canyon cliffs.
I think your photo could do with about a 3 degree CCW rotation and some contrasting to bring out more of the sun hitting the red cliffs. If you allow workshops, I could show you my attempted workshop to demonstrate what I mean.

Tripod would have helped. Nice sunset hues though. This place is about 3 hours from where I live...
