Photographer's Note
This is one of the vista points of the Grand Canyon Southern Rim at sunset: tens or hundreds of tourists gather together is these small places to enjoy this spectacular moment.
Personally I like this picture: in an attempt to do something different and original I wanted to include what is typically removed from any photo of the Grand Canyon by any photographer: the tourists.

dear stefano.
I liked the shape of hills there, just like the layers you will when you break the stone. People standing in the edge is wonderful. tfs, Ashish

Hi Stefano,
Very nice capture.
The sunlight from side creates a perfect 3 D effect.
Nice crop, nice framing.

Hello Stefano, this reminds me a bit of the saying "Who guards the guards".
The evening light on just some of the watchers is quite interesting with photographers checking their settings etc.
The background recedes nicely to give quite a good depth to the image. But mostly it`s the quality of light that lifts this imaginative photograph.Nice one.
Les.

I like the idea of including people in the fram, but frankly, my desire to go to west american park has suddenly vanished !!!
Cheers Stefano !!

Ciao Stefano, a great commentary on the human instinct to "follow the herd". I have witnessed this behavior countless times, but have never captured it so well in a photograph. As I'm sure you discovered in your travels, however, it's a relatively easy thing to escape the crowds entirely, simply by walking an extra hundred meters down a trail, by choosing the not-quite-so-famous park, or by visiting at off-hours or off-season.
I am really enjoying your photos of the American West, especially the panoramic, expansive views of some of our iconic desert scenes - a very keen eye, I think, and with a clear sense of appreciation for that landscape.
Best regards, Steve
