Photographer’s Note
Day 2, Sunset
It was nice relaxing afternoon, we didn’t want to do too much activities, since our legs were tired from walking down and we had to preserve the energy for the next day hike back up, “What goes down must come back up.” The very nice ranger asked how was our walk down, I said, “Great, but ask me again tomorrow how’s the hike up?” He laughed and said, that will be an adversity to overcome tomorrow for many of us city folks.
... in the mean time the stormy sky start to clear up just after the sun went down, setting the cloudy sky on fire, illuminating the whole canyon in a warm orange glow, like and an angel rising against the dark sky.
We went back to the river with some bread, salami and dry fruits for a little dinner. While everyone else is back at their camp site having their dinner, we had the river all to ourselves. At the moment, I just enjoying peaceful and tranquility setting, listen to the sound of the Colorado River rushing by and millions of bugs chirping away, trying hard not to think about tomorrow.

Hi Way,
Just stones and rocks but so beautifully captured.
The colours of the stones and the sky split by
the darker tones of the rocks looks just marvelous.

Hi Way,
impressionant de profondeur ce cadrage !
La netteté est parfaite, et cette teinte de fin de journée est agréable... tu as du utiliser une balance des blancs réglée sur soleil j'imagine pour obtenir cet effet. En tout cas bravo !

Hi Way,
Fantastic evening sky, the yellowish clouds just look like smokes, beautiful place for taking rest, I try to imagine the rythms playing togather by the flowing water and insects, thanks for sharing.

Hi Way.
Beautiful colour tones - reds and pinks in particular. Great timing to catch this flare of sunshine in the stormy sky. Your very low viewpoint is exceptionally good, with the rounded rocks strewn in the grassy foreground, and the jagged mountains behind. Great exposure/PP work on this marvellous nature shot.

Andrew

Well you had some rest while you were down there for your low POV! ;D You have captured the textures and colours of the foreground rocks perfectly, and their arrangement leads the eye all the way to the mountains. The dramatic sky from the setting sun is truly wonderful. I'm waiting for the next installment!

Hi Way,
It does almost look like and angel in the bright sky; of course, you are probably talking about the trail. Your spectacular light management gave great detail in what I suspect was quite a dark FG. That path of river rock makes me wonder if the river was quite low when you were there, you mention the river but I don't see water.

Hello Way,
Beautiful clarity of the rocks, looking like they were painted by the sky. Except for praising the sharpness and the ingenious low perspective I cannot find much to say about this attractive picture.
Kind regards,

Hello Way,
I'm late in my comments but I continue to follow your posts with much interest. I like this one for its colors and the sharpness. It differs much from the last ones but is quite as interesting and makes us discover the softness of somecertain landscapes In Grand Canyon.
Thanks for sharing it Way.
Have a good journey.
Friendly regards,
Magali

This is a shot which is done beautifully thanks to your low POV. The details of the reddish pebbles, further enhanced by the red hue of the light creates a good lead-in to the hills in the distance, below the pastel colours of sunset in the sky. Look fwd to your post from the next day!
Best Regards

Hi Way,
such a magnificent view of the scenery. The rocks are real treasure here. You depict it so lively and the colours are so beautiful.
The contrast is very exciting to me especially when looking at the grass and the amber sky.
Brilliant view from your pleasant and elegance presentation.

Hello Way,
I like the rocks in front, an unusual element that makes a fine lead-in to the landscape!
The low point of view is almost becoming a trademark now, and it works well in creating dynamics in the frame...
Good division of the frame!
Greetings,
Pablo -
