Grand Canyon at Bright Angel Trailhead Photo

Photographer’s Note

This was my first view ever, of the Grand Canyon. Taken between the Hermit's Rest transfer station (for the free shuttele bus), & Kolb Studio, on the Bright Angel Trailhead. My shuttle bus from Flagstaff was around $19 (net booking) in, plus $25 return out from Maswik Lodge. I walked for 4 hours along the South Rim to Mather Point, & caught the free bus back to Maswik Lodge. Maps here:

Hello Chris,
An expansive view over this famous natural site. The rich red tones of the rocks are beautifully rendered under the clear blue sky. The area in shadow in the foreground helps gives a good sense of depth. Very good sharpness throughout.

This is a great shot of this landmark. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness. The shadowed area in the foreground works well add depth and contrast to the scene.

Hi Chris,

The point of view leads our eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the composition. It is also allowing us to admire the details and colors of the Grand Canyon. It is clear and sharp. The nice blue sky is sending a light which is enhancing the colors of the scenery. Have a nice day.

This here is really a fantastic sight, something I will never forget (well, it is only one year since we were there, so there is still time...). Marvellous colours and a well composed picture with the closer foreground parts. Although no persons are visible here, I guess, there really a crowd behind you!

Fantastic grand view at the trail head, well I just came back yesterday from a one week trip to the canyons. I was here looking at this view after I came up from the river down at Bright Angel Campground. Still sorting out photos. Excellent pov good composition and color is nice and rich, some area is a bit too much blue in the shadows. Thanks
