Triple view of Oak Creek Canyon Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was once with some friends in Arizona, on the way from Flagstaff to Phoenix. We had a look at the map and the shortest and fastest way should be Interstate highway I-17. We had no guide, but we guessed that the alternative road via Sedona should be more scenic.
I don't know whether we made the right choice, but the State Route 89A between Flagstaff and Sedona through Oak Creek Canyon was very scenic indeed. Oak Creek Canyon is located within the Coconino National Forest. The Oak Creek is one of the few perennial streams in the region.
We did a lot of stops along the gorge, but is picture is a triple view from the moving car: at right the actual view; in the middle the mirror reflection; and at left the window reflection, through the mirror.

Hi Francisco,
Perfectly framed triple view. Colour contrast between blue sky and autumn coloured foliage is excellent. Difference between motion blur directly to right and backwards through the mirror is interesting. And 'objects in mirror...' text is a fun detail.
Normally taking photos from a car without stopping is not a good idea, but here the effect of moving is well utilized.

Ola Francisco,
You certainly made the right choice for route in my book!! While there are many photos of Sedona, as a child, Oak Creek Canyon was my highlight of the trip from Winslow to Phoenix!! It flowing water and abundant trees made it a real stand-out for me - and your triple view captures this sense perfectly. It also gives a taste of the vertigo we enjoyed as we leaned with the curves in the back seat. Thanks for the memories. I can't imagine a better compo.

Olá Francisco,
esse tipo de imagem costuma ser bem interessante mesmo, tenho algumas com um jipe e em breve coloco aqui no TE também, na verdade meu arquivo ta bem grande, combustível pra mais de ano de fotos aqui, hehe. O mais curioso aqui foi ter feito a foto com o vidro do carro fechado e não ter aparecido os reflexos.
