Owls, birds of the order Strigiformes, include about 200 species of mostly solitary and nocturnal birds of prey typified by an upright stance, a large, broad head, binocular vision and binaural hearing, and feathers adapted for silent flight. Exceptions include the diurnal Northern Hawk Owl and the gregarious Burrowing Owl. (From Wikipedia)

Hope there is no secret where did you see this beautiful Owl, Eleu.
It is so rare to see and take a photo of, under broad daylight posing like a model. A most impressive bird, well shown in details, and looks as a decesive moment you captured.
Have a nice weekend,

Hello Eleu, very nice image here. A lovely bird. You probably saw it and got the camera somewhere near and got it as soon as you could. I appreciate it. Good take.

Wow, what a beautiful bird. The owl is a symbol of wisdom and of night life, excellent portrait, very well captured

It's not surprising that owls have scared a lot of people and been the source of myths and legends because of their sound and behaviour. They are fascinating birds but they really look rather spooky. This is a fine and very informative shot from a good POV and with splendid light.

Beautiful bird, nicely separated from the background by your shallow DOF. Almost impossible to spot in the wild, zoos and wildlife refuges provide us with great photo opportunities to capture these majestic animals.
have a great weekend
