Perhaps the best time to view and photograph the Grand Canyon is right after a storm. Unfortunately this view was a calm morning with 'haze' or more appropriately smog saturating the sky and hanging inside the Canyon.
The coal burning power plant over a hundred miles east of here in Page, Arizona is one of the major smog creators. Having plenty of wind, the land could stand replacing fuel burning plants with wind turbines.

An interesting note for this picture. This is indeed an impressive view, I am glad we have had the opportunity to see this view in "real life". This picture is a fine reminder of those moments.

This time seems also to be perfect to capture this place, the play of light right across this scene is amazing and does wonders to bring out the scale and sheer size of this place! This is one of those senses of height in an image that makes me take one step back from the monitor lest I tumble in! Beautiful light, colors and photo.
thanks as always

Another stunning shot of this amazing natural beauty.
I like the way you have composed the image so as the distant rim is truncated, it helps to craw us into the canyon below. Also there is lovely colour contrast from the risk ochre colours of the rock in the left foreground to the bluish haze on the far side. I also enjoy the repetition of diagonals - the foreground and then the shadows- extending through the image
Have a great Good Friday

You're capturing well this landscape by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the Grand Canyon with an intense fall of ups and downs which is an aggregate of a huge rock. And, it's impressive in shadow-highlight.

A beautiful tight frame which accentuates the luminous colours and textures. The landscape is stunning and you really got the best of the light here.
Thanks for sharing, have a very Good Friday
