Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails.
Sedona was named after Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of Theodore Carlton Schnebly, the city's first postmaster, who was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness. (From Wikipedia)

you are quite correct, the impressive rock formations have taken on a gorgeous warm glow and you have captured the scene very well with beautiful natural colours and fine clarity.
The long shadows also help to give the image a really nice depth.

Fantastic landscape, Eleu...
I love this photo, another interesting presentation of Arizona. How long from Phoenix till Sedona? This is one your best photos for last time! My compliments! Thanks!
Tomorrow I am going to the airshow Wngs of Parma in Perm. I will send to you some photos from this event.

fantastic nature scene, Eleu, the earth formation is most intriguing photography-wise.
Even with the mist, the special mountains contourlines and formation shown in most attractive way.
Have a nice weekend,

Hello Eleu - This is gorgeous. I like the softness of the colours and light, together they impart a painterly quality to the landscape. How beautiful!

This is a marvellous scenery, not at all unknown to th world, but it looks like the kind of scenery that somehow changes its appearance according to the light and weather and the time of the year. The colors are fantastic and make this look almost unreal.

Hello Eleu, Marvelous view of Sedona. It looks similar to Monument Valley but maybe even more beautiful. Magnificent composition. I was somewhere near Sedona, but unfortunately not in this spot. Fabulous photo.

Impressive landscape picture!
Beautiful light on the reddish rocks, long shadows in the valley, nice contrast between the green forested area and the red rocks.
Best regards, Paul

Fine Sedona panorama for the low lighting enhancing the mesa and butte formations uniqueness and the surrounding forests providing scale, revealing their huge stature.

Thanks for showing me what I missed by skipping Sedona. It looks a little like a greener version of Monument Valley! I might have sharpened this a bit more excluding the sky. Wonderful warm cold color contrasts between the blue sky and red buttes and mesas. Tfs!

Astonishing view of Sedona, an icon of the Southwest wonderful landscape where the grand scale is accentuated by the deep shadows of brilliant late afternoon sun and the glowing mesas. Superb detail showing the amazing strata layers over millions of years....incredible!! certainly a placid scene and a perfect location of a shooter for the sheer serenity that uplifts the soul and rejuvenates the spirit. This would look good on the front page of an Arizona travel brochure! and your handling of light is seamless as usual, Congrats

now this is truly beautiful panorama view with well managed light. I like the game of the shadows among the rocks which adds so much atmosphere to the picture. The bushes in the foreground decidedly make the landscape less severe and more eye pleasing.
Thanks for sharing

It's really very beautiful and the light is magical here! Looks like a stage, where the formations are getting the light. Very good pov!
