So much for the caricature portrait and big doughy eyes from my previous shot, this huge guy is all business now! Is it possible for a buffalo to have “The Eye of the Tiger?” lol
I’ve heard of a lazy eye, but I think his right one is collecting unemployment…that thing has taken a complete leave of absence!
Truth be told, he was simply looking off to the side, but how, or why his eye came to this point is a question that I simply can’t answer…I happened to catch it at just the right moment to look like he was quite enraged and about ready to strike…must be one of those angry Hollywood type that doesn’t like having their picture taken.
Whatever the case, I’m happy he didn’t come charging…I’d have lost that one for sure.
Somebody should teach this guy to use a napkin though, what a slob! :)
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week everyone.

Haha, it is also funny, specially your note. Eye on unemployment :). Nice portrait. I'm happy too that he didn't charged.
Have a great week

Strange eye and glance, original, good portrait with perfect sharpeness and soft light on the bull, tfs.

nice the close up view of the buffalo with the details to are so visible.I like the light and the colour management as the clarity of the scene.

You recently commented on me hanging and dangling (my camera that is) around beaches and scaring the natives. Well hanging around farmyard animals sounds just a tad worse to me, although here the furry natives are doing the scaring. This big old fellow is one hell of beast and this capture is full of wonderful scruffy detail and that eye is so weird and menacing. A unique capture - he does look like he is quite taken with you JC, any further comment here would obviously be censored by the mods!!
Have a good week - B.
Phew! 70F here yesterday - quite extraordinary!

I like both your fresh rural photos. Back to the Nature?
Impressive eye, my first idea was about the sun reflection in the eye ;) Amazing and brave report from a farm! TFS!
Have a great week ahead!

A bit frightening to see this red eye, jason, but it was looking to another direction, so no fear...
Technically, an excelent photo. Clear details on every pixel here, the subject... well I can cope with.

Sea zombies and now fuzzy moo zombies, is there really no limit to what you can zombiefy? Really, it's bad enough to be chased by a two tonne creature with horns, but it having come back from the dead for the privilege is just too much.
Class timing to get theism the red eye looks very cool, and he has a kind of stature to him, the king of the zombie buffalo if you will.
I take back my previous onion ring comment lest I end up the one on the plate.
And what did he eat? My guess is a bag of sticks :)
All the best

Hola mi gran amigo palido
Wow, can t watch at the red eye, it impresses and scary me, writing watching only the half low, quite true
Fron this point of view, quite agree with you, a napking will be good if he is going to be the protanist of a shot to be posted on TE
If not, who cares about his way ( buffalo´s one) of eating?

Going to relax drinking a Seven Up

looks like you hit the bullseye with your note:)
great and funny!:)and again you´ve managed to create so interesting and funny story about the scene you´ve photographed.
One thing more-I hope this close-up view is the result of your zoom lens, not your courage:)
He doesn´t look quite friendly:)
Have a nice day

I am afraid that is one of the hazards of growing a thick, bushy beard. Whenever I eat with bearded colleagues, I can't decide whether I should warn them of all the bread crumbs and soup drops they collect on their beards or just put up with the sight.
Did you use a flash, is that why the eye looks so red?
Kamilutka (8103) 2014-03-11 8:34
for a moment I thought that this red eye was the effect of the flash and maybe you forgot to remove it ;-) This is incredible but also quite scare, just looking at it freaks me out. Good portrait though and well framed. Superb sharpness to the point that even bits of dust are well seen on his head.
Thanks for sharing
