For our nasally challenged friend Serghei (serp2000), who is currently recovering from surgery of a deviated septum.
I’ve heard from a few others who have undergone this procedure, and it sounds pretty miserable. So, in an effort to keep things light hearted and positive, what better way to properly wish him the best and speediest recovery…why, with a close up of a nose of course! ;)
The horse was fine with me taking his portrait, but asked that I keep his identity secret so that he wouldn’t get spurred for doing this without permission from his owner. hehe
Get well soon cowboy! :)

Hello Jason, I had read that serghei has some healthy problems but I didn;t kn ow what is it. I remember I had once a few Spanish speaking friends who have nasal operation. Serghei has senase of humour so he will like this photo, as well as I do. Funny shot and such a funny note.
Warm regrads Malgo

A fine dedication, and once again a shot to make anybody smile. You know, I dont know why Hallmark dont have a card to this effect too. "I hear you have a faulty septum?" and then when you open it up, inside a picture of a superhero horse with a sock over his eyes. Makes perfect sense to me. As much as the one I seen recently that said COngratulations on your ne washing machine anyway.....
I do like this close up, so close we can count the hairs on his nose. Ive never seen that thing over his eyes, and it kind of makes me think that this could be the equine version of the phantom of the opera. Was there any organ music in the background?
Haha, great shot, lovely colors and a nice amusing subject.
Cheers as always

Nice shot to cheer up our mate Serghei, no fun being in Hospital, we all wish him a speedy recovery naturally. I think we should all club together to get this horse, at least a pair of Ray Bans. Not that he would need them if was here in the UK at present, flippers and water wings would probably be a better idea. Yet another storm is raging outside as I write this.
Really like Noel's horse Phantom of the Opera analogy, perhaps Sir AL-W could come up with some new songs and Spielberg (War Horse) direct the film version. Conjured up some strange ideas and images in my head, all unrepeatable here naturally.
Wonderful tribute shot that made me smile. Nice work.

C'est un petit peu la signification du mot incognito qui me vient à l'esprit quand je regarde cette photo. Ou il est une grande vedette ou il n'aime pas la lumière vive. Mais il a gardé toute sa curiosité.

Sneaking on an eyes-covered horse, its a safe bet, maybe this one is a bit of a rampant animal, so his owner takern a porecaution.
For sure it was smelling you from so close, the nostrils are wide and upon your direction.
Fine photo on a magnificent beast.

I am recovering last time. Thanks again!

if you think Serghei had it bad...imagine if this horse had a deviated septum! yikes!! lol
well, i have to say, this is a very funny looking photo, its almost as if somebody is playing a cruel trick on the poor guy!
and you're also correct about it somehow looking a little bit 'wrong', but i guess the intention is to help him out by keeping the flies at bay.
Heck...i may try this when i go hiking this summer lol!
what makes the photo so funny looking is how the ears POP straight up!! something cartoonish about them lol
the USA has alot of food items we dont! fortunately the US border is only a 15 min drive from the Vancouver area - depending on where you live of course.
so we often go down to Bellingham to shop for groceries and bring them back. So fun to see all the different chocolate bars, chips, and soda pop!
yes...there are differences!
I think Canada is more strict, more conservative, so we allow less...thats my guess but who the heck knows!
craving a cheery pop now! damn it

Nice horse snapshot, poor fellow can feel but cannot see you. No licence agreement no face photo? What else to say, nice cute image.
Very well done
Wish you a very nice Sunday.

What, now I'm confused!? You said this is Serghei's nose and it doesn't want Serghei to know that you took a photo of him?
