Photographer’s Note
This view of Granite Mnt. was taken from the summit of Thumb Butte back in 2003, looking north. Unfortunetly most of the Ponderosa forest seen here was wiped out by the drought and Bark Beetle Blight that struck back in 2003. A terrible thing to witness. A positive note: A more healthy forest can prosper with less tree density.
This polarized image is from a 4x5 transparency, drum scanned, saturation and sharpness added in Photoshop.
