I think, sometimes we might look funny if somebody looks from the side.
Jason and me were in the Museum of gold miners, and the wagon with tourists drove past us in this moment. I had have a few seconds only...
Russ, what did you say about the shadows?

Superb off the cuff capture. I like it!

J'apprécie beaucoup le mouvement de la tête de la dame en rouge qui offre un beau mouvement de chevelure. Les ombres rayées offrent un beau chandail à l'homme de dos.

It is often useful to see ourselves as others see us, and it seems you understand America through the nuances of our shadows and reflections. I wish I had a Gallery! I would present an exhibition of these scenes you have captured. It would be called: "A Look at Us: Images, Shadows, and Reflections" by Serghei Pakhomoff.
This image is great -- the blue and red shirts, the heads, front, side, and backs, the strong red "T," and the great horizontal shadow lines. Excellent work!

you'll be making the tigers jealous with this one :) not often we see people with this kind of cool stripe and it creates a very interesting image. Strong vertical and diagonal lines combined with the rather happy looking folk is really a great candid capture. The women On the far right has hair like a lions mane!
all the best

It is amusing to compare this photo with the last one. Again you use lines of shadows to create an effect, and this is still so totally different. Watching people who are not aware that they are being observed can be quite funny, just like watching artists and musicians on TV without the sound. You made a fine observation and used the few seconds very well, artistically and technically.

This is quite funny. And for sure a rare opportunity to catch such stripy shadows on people. The stripy roof also catches attention on this context.

Wow...zebra people! ;-) They do look a bit strange with all of the stripes, but it makes the scene more interesting. Nice job capturing this passing view, and I like the way you cropped it. When I first saw the title, I thought it would be another NYC photo; that phrase is very common here as you know. :-)

Zdravo Serghei. It seems that you were on a definite quest to capture the world through an interplay of light and shade. Considering the speed at which you had to react, this is a fine, crisp result. Great colours, light and overall result. Nice too how the horizontals are contrasted by the roof's opposite stripes. Pozdrav. Klaudio.

Hello Serghei - What I like here is the way the stripes run at right angles to the corrugations on the roof. A well seen and nicely managed shot. Warm regards Rosemary

great shot!Sometimes such compositions without preparations and consideration are the best.
I can only tell I love your vision of striped world!Amazing visual effect created and really cool atmosphere of the scene.Has definitely this "something",that makes it unforgettable!
Wish You a nice weekend

Good morning Serghei,
Ahh yes, I remember this well. So neat that the striped shadows were only cast over the tourists in the train, giving such a unique effect. Standing beside you as you quickly noticed and took this shot is most impressive, as I know full well how fleeting the moment was, and from the distance we were standing. This turned out clear and sharp...and even comes with some humor! :)
You couldn't have hand picked a better color combination either, how great to have caught this group in red & blue for maximum color and contrast! I like too that there are horizontal stripes with the vertical rooftop pattern in the background...it all came together at just the right spot, and you did a great job in taking advantage of the opportunity. Bravo good sir! enjoy the rest of the weekend. take it easy.
Friendliest wishes from the ghost town,

So nice Sergej. Even the strong crop could contribute to your idea. Bravo majstore!

Beautiful; those shadows have made the photo! The contrast between the red and the blue is very pleasant, too.
