Photographer’s Note
This shot reminds me of some kind of rock shaped drill bit aiming toward the light. I guess thats part of the fun photographing in Antelope Canyon, using your imagination.
Note: Because of the deep shadows and bright highlights in the original file, I lightened the shadow areas located approximately 7 O'clock from center of the frame and some noise is present.

hello Michael,
seems like this Canyon provides infinite number of fascinating compositions and constantly changing light. and you're right, this particular view does look like a vortex aiming for the light, fascinating effect. fantastic colours and textures, especially the small bit on the right, where there's a cavity showing the next chamber, just beautiful. excellent photo, my compliments.

Very nice shot. I never tire of these fantastic Antelope canyon pics. The light is very well captured and the detail on the rock stands out nicely. Great job!
