Photographer’s Note

Here is a photo looking up towards the top of the incredibly photogenic Upper Antelope Canyon. This well-known slot canyon is about 40ft deep and is less than 4ft wide in some places. The floor of the canyon is sand and dramatic flash floods will change the depth on the canyon seemingly without warning.

The magnificent quality of light changes hourly as the sandstone reflects the light in new ways. The canyon is located in the Navajo Nation and is only a few miles outside of Page, AZ. Antelope Canyon is only accessible through guided group tours, but is well worth the time and fees for entrance...

Hi Brad,
Amazing colours and shape of sandstone.
I like the different tones from light to dark tones. At first sight it made me think that a little wind is blowing sands.
