[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Horseshoe Bend near Page, Arizona. It was a very overcast day but luckily there was just enough light and the rain stopped long enough for me to take this photo. For those who suffer from vertigo this may not be a place you would want to visit ;-)

What a photograph. Superb colors. From my experience it is better to shoot on overcast days when you are shooting such photographs because the light is balanced.

Bonjour Spring
très intéressant comme cliché, la rivière qui serpente autour de ce rocher en forme de sabot et toutes ces couleurs presque surnaturelles, bravo beau cliché.
Salutations

Spring: a gem of a canvas you've posted here. Colors here, though they're perhaps a tad over-saturated are dynamite. Great image. regards, c

Hi Spring,
I hear you loud and clear! I visited Horseshoe Bend in May and wow, the heights with sheer drops took my breath away. I love your shot - how in the heck did you get close enough somewhere to get a view like this with a 28 mm lens? I was shooting at 18 mm and felt it just wasn't wide enough. Your vivid colors and stunning sharpness and detail is amazing. Fine shot and TFs. Gerald

Yes this is an extraordinary site at any time, I just wish the lens was wider, the quality is quite good for a scan, and for Gold 200.

This is a great picture!
I really like the light, the composition and the overall mood of it!. Very well done. Looks like made with a fish eye lens.
Tell us a little about the place. Did you climb there? Cheers

Good shot of this famous place! The sweeping curve of the river makes a great subject, and it is shown very well here. The lighting is good, and the colour is probably the best that I've ever seen in a shot of this place. Good decision to cut out the horizon, which allows us to concentrate on the river itself. Excellent work!

Hello Spring,
I've seen excellent photos of this amazing location on TE before, but your image is definitely one of the best. You've managed to capture very good clarity....even amongst the rain, and the greens, blues and browns of the image are very attractive. Wonderfully done.
Cheers Grant

Hello Spring,
Great shot. The colors are absolutely fantastic.Your composition is excellent.Well done!

Excellent shot, Spring! (What a nice name!)
Having been out here a few times I'm fully aware of the issues concerning lighting (practically at all times) and wide angle perspective. That wide angle never seems wide enough to capture this wonderful scenery...
I more than like what I see. Great definition, great framing, and those colors are just gorgeous. Top notch.
Have a great sunday, see ya around.
Ciao,
Fulvio.

Hi Spring,
I think you did very good in scanning and presenting it like this. You need a extrme wide-angle to show whole the place which i did in mine with a three stitch exposure.
I like your deep colour setting, that rain was very useful for letting the green come out, i like that part a lot....good work.
Put the picture in the Horseshoe Bend Theme...hope you don't mind.
Regards, Henk

I'd say this is one of the best horseshoe bend photos on Trekearth. The green grasses are so vibrant. The blue reflection on the river is gorgeous and complements the orange rocks very nicely. The weather really cooperated well for you ;-) Great angle too. Considering you didn't have a very wide-angle lens you really captured it well. Wouldn’t you love to go back?

Hi Spring, very nice nature landscape of this famous place! Great composition,POV and colors. Excellent photo quality!

TFS and regards,
Philip
