Photographer’s Note
This is a view of the trail leading down to horseshoe bend in Arizona. We parked our car back near highway 89 at a small dirt parking area. A sign designates it as the trail head with no fanfare or sense of what lies ahead. You can see a few folks making their way along the trail as it switchbacks down to the canyon view at mid-frame, center left.
If nothing else, the trail looks bare and winds through the sage brush and desert flora aimlessly. It is in stark contrast to the Horseshoe Bend itself.
Definately put it on your itinerary if you head to the Grand Canyon. It's just a couple hours drive northeast.

Hi Kathy,
I'm a bit surprised at the lack of attention so far...
Knowing the place, I very much like what I see.
DOF is awesome, lovely overall colors, a few hikers to add sense of scale, and that Grad Grey works very well for me.
More than worth a smiley!
Have a great weekend, I'll see you around.
Ciao,
Fulvio.

There used to be noone 10-15 years ago. Looks totally overrun by people, well, by my standards anyway :). There must quite a few rattlers among those bushes. Nice capture, Kathy. Regards,
Hakan
