On a drive along Arizona's Mojave Desert, it was raining so hard that I could not see where I was going. I had to pull the car over because I did not want to drive in such bad and dangerous weather. As I waited for the rain to stop I set up my camera for a shot. When the rain cleared for a few moments I ran out and took this photograph before it started to rain again. Instead of driving off, I waited for the rain to clear again and ran out to take more photos.
I was lucky because it was a very rainy January in Arizona and neighboring Nevada. There was more rain in the month of January then they usually get all year long. I knew that I may not get this chance again to take pictures of such dramatic clouds in the desert again. The wait was well worth it.
