Photographer’s Note

I was in awe at the geology along Lake Powell. While heading into Utah to see Rainbow Bridge, I shot many photos, then when I saw this large boat with the spectacular geologic monolith behind it, I knew it was worth shooting.

Processed in Canon DPP with tone curves.

Nicely capture, great detail. The boat gives scale to the giant monolith.

Wow! That's incredible. That monolith is huge. I like the inclusion of the boat. It really gives the sense of scale. The colours and details are superb as well as the depth. Very nice capture!
