Series on my trip to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA) - NORTH AMERICA - Visiting LAS VEGAS, LAKE MEAD, HOOVER DAM, RED ROCK CANYON and the VALLEY OF FIRE (NEVADA), the GRAND CANYON - WEST AND SOUTH RIMS (ARIZONA), BRYCE CANYON, RED CANYON and ZION CANYON (UTAH) and finally CHICAGO (ILLINOIS) - From APRIL 05th to 24th, 2012 - # 019 !

BRIDGE AND LAKE!

The main reason I went to LAS VEGAS was to visit its surroundings (nearby or not). One of the options was to know the GRAND CANYON'S WEST RIM (by bus, by car or by helicopter)! Since I really didn't know whether I'd ever go back there, I decided to do everything I could, so, my tour to that place included: a bus from LAS VEGAS to BOULDER CITY; a plane from BOULDER CITY to the GRAND CANYON'S WEST RIM, flying over the HOOVER DAM and LAKE MEAD; a helicopter, flying over the CANYON and going down to the COLORADO RIVER; a boat, navigating in the COLORADO RIVER; a helicopter, going up again to the edges to the CANYON; a bus to visit the surroundings, including in the SKYWALK in the EAGLE'S POINT and finally, a plane, back to BOULDER CITY and a bus, back to LAS VEGAS!

This picture was taken on our way to the GRAND CANYON'S WEST RIM, in an airplane, flying from BOULDER CITY and over the HOOVER DAM and LAKE MEAD !

Bonjour Neyvan,

Un point de vue magnifique sur ce pont qui semble bien petit dans cette immensité rocheuse. La route forme une très belle diagonale dans l'image ce qui lui donne beaucoup de profondeur.

Another breath taking aerial view of this famous spot with bags of details and textures in rich color tones. Good crop in this layout with excellent lead in lines and great contrast to the blue water. So pin sharp that we can feel the depth, height and distant. Excellent shot, A well done photo work!

its a man-made masterpiece, a true piece of architectural wonder.

Bonjour Neyvan,
c'est une des régions du monde qui me fascine le plus et j'espère bien un jour la visiter.
Un POV d'enfer bien entendu, vu de haut et avec beaucoup de détails, cela rend la photo très instructive.
Superbe vue sue le lac bien bleu.

Hi Neyvan

I like the arched bridge in this superb aerial shot as it makes a splendid focal point. Good sharpness & the snaking road provides nice lead in lines & perspective. The blue lake is in an unusual position where we normally see sky. It contrasts well against the reddish yellow earthy tones. Tfs!

A spectacular view and a wonderful POV that shows a wide view from a very large, impressive bow to the motorway saving the great canyon, great contrast of deep blue lake.
Wonderful colors, great sharpness and perfect management of light.
