Desert Area Lookout, a photo from Arizona, West

Photographer's Note

Grand Canyon National Park is one of the United States' oldest national parks and is located in Arizona. Within the park lies the Grand Canyon, a gorge of the Colorado River, considered to be one of the major natural wonders of the world. The park covers 1,902 mi² (4927 km²) of unincorporated area in Coconino County and Mohave County.

Living about five hours from the park, I should go there more often, but I have many pictures of the park. There are five major look outs from the South Rim of the canyon. This is one of them. I will post some more pictures of there showing the other look outs.

Hi Roger,
i like this view with the bushes in foreground and the G.C. behind. I like also the inclusion in the picture of two people on the observation deck.

Hi Roger,
A very typical and traditional picture overlooking the GC, the colors it creats is fantastic and changing by the hours.
It is a good memory for me as I took a treep there on 7/1978.

You skilfully placed the view-point in a corner of the photograph, thus leaving a broad place with before natural plan and the depth of this immense landscape. It is well done, and the image is clear and natural. Cheer.

Hi Roger,

The presence of the persons has an effect of scale. The point of view is sending my eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the composition. It is also allowing me to see the details and colors of the Grand Canyon. The heat haze has a special effetc on the colors. Have a nice day.
