I was lucky enough be at the western end of the South Rim for this beautiful sunset. The trees here helped me frame this scene.

Hello Michael! Wonderful POV, amazing perspective, beautiful landscape. Marvelous effect. Good luck!

Hi Michael,

wonderful view and great shot. Clever idea to include the tree at the left. This is such an amazing place. Well done!
Regards,
Carlos

Hey Michael,
The view is absolutely breathtaking!!! Excellent framing, lovely colors, great POV. Congratulations!!!
Greetings,

Hi Michael,
You included the mighty Colorado river, so it gives something extra in the composition and depth. The purple toning of the canyon look very nice, but the sky, and even more the foliage in the foreground make the photo become very good. A very good composed image with excellent exposure.
Regards, Henk

The Grand Canyon is a surprisingly difficult subject for sunsets for a simple reason - no light shines down into the canyon.

But you did an outstanding job with what it offers and the reflective river adds greatly to visual interest.

Bonjour Michael,
quelle profondeur !!
Il est vrai que vu l'altitude à laquelle tu te trouvais, tu ouvrais la vue.
J'aime beaucoup cet avant plan trsè contrasté qui tranche avec l'arrière plan plus brumeux.
BIen amicalement.
Daniel.

Hi Michael,
Very nice shot of a place I hope to see for myself this summer. I like the way you’ve used the trees to frame the canyon and the reflecting curve of the river. The evening atmosphere is wonderful, particularly the way the sunlight just catches the edges of the pine.
Cheers
John
