Photographer’s Note
It had been raining off and on here at the eastern area of the South Rim. I had dodged a thunderstorm and finally the rain stopped for a short time. I tried to make the most of that time shooting a series o shots at this location.

Very, very nicely composed. Technical quality is high. You have preserved the fine detail in the image exceptionally well. That is not all that easy to do. I struggle with sharpness with virtually every one of my pictures.
The only thing you might consider is doing something about the featureless, washed out white sky on the right side of the frame.
A surprisingly simple trick you might consider to deal with that is to clone some of the darker clouds from the left side of the frame into that white area. The key is to set the clone tool to a low opacity, not more than 20%. As long as you clone just enough to dampen it's washed out look you will find it to be amazingly natural looking and it won't look cloned at all.
Just a thought for you to consider.

Hi Michael, very nice post storm saturation in this shot. The colours are awesome, and I like the sky, you still have the storm going on back there. Excellent composition with most excellent colours and textures throughout.
Thanks, enjoyed! John

Hey Michael,
An amazing shot of the Grand Canyon with superb colors and sharpness taken from an excellent POV. I really like the formations of the clouds and the colors of the sky. The contrast between the red rocks and the sky is perfect. Congratulations!!!

Hi Michael,
The dramatic atmosphere and lighting really enhance the stunning view. I particularly like the colours and textures of the foreground rock and the tree standing out against the sky. It's interesting that in spite of the canyon being in shadow, the reflection on the water is sufficient to bring it to life.
