There were a few more requests for some of the Arizona sun, so I thought…”Why not pull from the most well known location in the state, the one and only Grand Canyon?”
Here you go Cricri (Cricri), John (JHM) and Bev (Royaldevon)… hope this helps warm you up. :)
Taken on a perfect late summer morning, myself and Serghei were blessed with some wonderful light that showed the canyon in all of its glorious layers and colors.
As many pictures that have been posted from here, and deservedly so, there’s really not much more that can be said…so I’ll take my cue and let the view tell the story. Sorry Gert, no people, I know…but I just couldn’t convince anyone to take a leap of faith on to that big rock to be part of the picture. ;) Can’t say I blame ‘em either, that’s a long way down if you miss!?
Thanks for stopping by.
* A new dog-sitting gig will have me occupied through the weekend, more slow responses ahead.

Fabulous location, a heaven for photographers, and you managed beautifully to give a splendid view ofb this desert Canyon.
Rocks in diff. colors and sizes mingle in fabulous colors, most attractive in red tones.
Impressive location and well applied picture.

Fantastic view of the Grand Canyon. Perfect sky, only tiny little clouds. What will be the weather in two weeks?:).
I'm just going for a one week holiday, probably also will be out of Internet and TE.

Thank you so much!
The photograph certainly warms me up. I'm sitting here with outstretched hands and can feel the heat radiating from the screen. Forgive me for being greedy but could you pack some in a parcel and send it express delivery, to open up and warm the whole village. (We have endured clouds and rain for many, many days, now!) I could become the most popular gal for miles around!!!
Seriously, we have had similar ideas, today, photographing the beauties of Mother Earth. When you look at this scene, which has been sculptured by the weather, you just gasp at the vastness and the magnificent beauty!
The big rock supplies the textures, the b/g gives the context.
Have a great day,

Quel paysage magnifique.Ton point d'observation est parfait ce qui permet de voir très très loin sans obstruction aucune. J'aime la couleur très rouge de la pierre ainsi que les différentes strates millénaires.

it's me again ;)
Great! These picturesque stones and rocks are very familiar for me today.
I hope I will show you some interesting places in my region very soon.
Thanks for this remembering, although I don't forget that cool trip around Arizona!

Ha ha, what can I say now that you already pulled the words out of my mouth? Couldn't you at least have waited until an eagle landed on that rock? :-). There are people on TE who are prepared to wait for hours for the right composition.
But all right, it's a great view anyway. with Incredible rocks and colors, not unknown but overwhelming every time I see it.
Mind the dog,

"another dose of sunshine" is too much for viewers in Greece but I'll take it together with the magnificent landscape. I like very much how your composition and narrow frame have enhanced the sense of depth. The formations, textures and colours ahead are captivating. It's great how you were able to have wonderful clarity throughout this vast area and how you retained all the natural variety and fascination of the colours. You dealt with the sunshine like an expert:) Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

I'd love to go back there! I will, as a matter of fact!
A very attractive picture too!
Special regards to the exposure, colors and composition!

excellent perspective. I really liked the harmony of the red rocks. One of the most interesting places I've ever seen.

Thanks for the share, I am sitting here now enjoying a coffee (read :beer) looking at this and basking in its warm glowing warming glow. Autumn has come to Ireland with the crack of a whip this year, so a true pleasure to see the wondrous heat of such a place, I love how you composed rhe rock too, it adds such excellent depth into the view. Not surprised you didn't get anyone to venture out on it though.
Have a great weekend.
Cheers from soggy rock.

A different and original view of the famous canyon.
Looking at the sky, I know what we're missing here in my country this month, a summer month that makes us think it's autumn.
Well composed with the big rocks on the foreground and the view of the depths at the left side. Beautiful with the different colours of the canyon.
Best regards, Paul

ok, i must be loosing my mind...i was 100% positive i critiqued this one already!
maybe you know this fact, so please humor me if you do...
did you know that many large species of birds in Arizona near the Grand Canyon are dying because tourists keep throwing large coins into the canyon, or onto rock-tops just below.
the large birds (not too smart i suppose) are flying high above, see a shiny item and are attracted to it.
they try to eat it, and it gets stuck in their throat and die...kinda sad actually. because the birds (i forget what species) are near the protection list.
When I was here I saw many people throw coins into the Canyon. But I guess people just don't think about that sort of thing...and why would they.
anyways, anytime we can see a photo shared on a TE meeting , large or small makes it just that much more fun and interesting.
I'm sure Serghei must have enjoyed this, and the baseball game (god damn you) lol
fun shot, love seeing the Canyon anytime.
Keep your coins in your pockets and enjoy the view :)
take it easy bud

Hola Jason , mon slow responses ami
What a good panoramic of the red rocks at the back in a perfect straight line, contrasting well with the whites at the front
Of course nobody is seen, it seem no way to walk but easy to take photos from the route
Speaking of routes... you have a long one ahead, take care ..of the charming dog
From a very cold winter day
