I think everyone knows the famous book "The magic of OZ" of L. Frank Baum. But Arizona (AZ) has got a lot of outstanding places too.
This is the next photo from South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Special thanks to Jason for that stunning trip around Arizona in September of 2013.

This view is terrific, such a breathtaking and fascinating scenery. It's also a very carefully composed photo where you have used the tree very well. Colors and sharpness are perfect and the title is witty and amusing. A good title can do a lo to create an interest in a photo. I am always pleased with myself if I manage to make up something amusing.

Hello Serghei, Good title, like Gert, I think that the clever title is very important element of the post (and some people can't understand it , writing Window... or something similar). Fantastic view froom Grand Canyon, I like this composition with perfect blue sky and pine tree framing. I am sure that you will show Jason (and me by the way :)) also wonderful views.
Warm regrads Malgo

Wow, this "Jason" person you speak of should receive some sort of medal for taking you to such a wonderful location! lol
I must admit, I don't remember seeing this picture before...or perhaps I simply forgot because we took so many. :) I love the varying shades of color, from top to bottom it's a feast for the eyes. Great idea to include the tree in such a way that it dominates the foreground, but leaves plenty of open space to see the canyon below....a really smart composition.
Full of depth, detail and amazing layers of Earth. As always, this brings back great memories. :) Even before I saw Malgo's comment I thought the same thing...I'm sure you will show us some super views as well. Thanks again for coming all the way to Arizona. :) Have a great day. All the very best.
Friendly wishes from the Grand Canyon state,

A spectacular long perspective over the Grand Canyon. I like the choice of the vertical format and the framing offered by the overhanging branch. Superb rendering of the colours and textural detail in the rocks.

a shot that captures the magic and beauty of this place succinctly. Love the framing of the awesome canyon here and the glorious mix of light and colours. Irresistible!

We get almost never a picture of the Grand Canyon out of these angle, this very nice with the tree as frame
Perfectly sharp and clear, nice panorama view too.
Very well composition, nice presentation too.
Excellent done, TFS.

Interesting Grand Canyon vertical with the pine tree's green needles providing contrast to the multiple brown layers of the immense canyon.
During the glare of the midday sun, suggest trying conversion to black and white when editing images later. B & W emphasizes details and textures.

I like the vertical format and it worked well with the composition. Good use of the tree as frame and also to provide depth. Sharp details and good lighting. Well done, tfs.

This is a fantastic shot using the tree to frame the canyon. The depth is great and the photo has outstanding sharpness and DOF. The lighting and colors are great as well.

We have all seen lots of shots of the Grand Canyon but I am sure most people, like me, never tire of them! You have used the tree very effectively, adding colour and unexpected textures to the very arid, spectacular and weather worn rocks of the canyon.
This is a delightful composition.
I keep promising myself that I will go, one day!
Thank you for your critique of my photograph showing the old bus. I thought you might like it! Believe me, the ride inside it was like being on a fairground ride but great fun!

What a superb view and a great composition, using the tree so well in the foreground. The Grand Canyon looks absolutely breath-taking, especially in this pleasant light.

I know this magic very well, I'm still surprised by its beauty and majesty everytime I see the Grand Canyon. Beautiful image. I like your pov and the inclusion of the tree adds depth to the composition. Good quality image. Thanks.
jmdias (55385) 2014-09-02 2:22
very use of the branches of this damaged pine tree to include more color and beauty to this classic view. I liked the colors and these details I want to see by myself soon.
