My immediate impression was of a group on stage, with an amazing backcloth!
The lighting makes this shot so dramatic, highlighting the rich, eroded textures of the 'stage', whilst the rest is in subdued colour.
Have a great day,

Lovely pov, impressive view and good details with people to give a scale at the photo, light is well managed.

what an impressive view!
I like the chosen point of view,
I had a look in "normal" TE and it seems actually a bit blurred, but never mind,I always use the beta.TE...
thanks for sharing,

A fantastic view across one of the world's most spectacular sights. I like the different colours and hues embedded in the rocks and the fine sense of depth given by your good POV. The light management is perfect, so that the sunlit foreground and the shady BG part are all nicely defined. The people standing on the edge like little ants in this huge landscape are a real bonus. There is wonderful light and lovely natural colours. Thank you for sharing this beautiful shot.
Have a nice Sunday.

une très belle composition, qui mêle l'être humain dans une nature imposante.
Bon rapport d'échelle entre les visiteurs et ce paysage du Grand Canyon.

Beautifully captured image.. pity I can't view large.
The distance view is surreal, like in a dream... Excellently taken, it feels like a 3D image.

Il y a du monde pour admirer cette fantastique vue sur le Grand Canon! Tu as réussi à t'écarter du groupe pour trouver ce cadrage original.

The people lo so ickle in the face of this ginormogantic natural wonder, no wonder they stop and stare. I love that you captured s perfectly the lines of color and shade in the layers of rock while simultaneously captured great depth. To boulders on the right of the central part of the composition don't look like ones to sit on, like something from a road runner cartoon.
All the best

Wonderful place and picture!
Nice to see all those people there... they give us a welcome sense of scale for those natural details!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, horizontal format, chosen pov and composition are all excellent!
TFS - congrats,

How are you my good man? Wow, now this really puts things into perspective...how small are we? You know, I can't say it enough, each one of your GC pics has individual characteristics that keep the subject fresh. Being this was early September though, I'm sure the summer heat took its toll on freshness. :)
Super layers of light, progressing deeper and darker with each point of depth in this compressed viewpoint. You never realize it until you step back from the railings, but my oh my, is that ever close to the edge...talk about a false sense of security!?
You need to come back some time and show me where you've taken these shots, and bring along some of those cloudy skies for contrast...the park takes on a different vibe with the change in weather. Add another beauty to the collection! Have a good one. Take it easy.
Cheers from the Grand Canyon state,

Yes, the flowers are great, but I want to come back to Arizona again. Attractive photo, I see one stone block is falled ;( What do you think about some reconstruction of the Canyon? ;)
macjake (71069) 2014-06-12 9:21
I remember these views well.
Did you know that many people throw or toss coins from these high viewtops, but what's happening is that birds try to eat the coins as they think it may be food and many birds are dying.
On a more positive note, its a view that is spectacular. love seeing the people at the top, makes it feel like something we can relate to.
How fun would it be to push those large stones over the edge! haha
fine shot, gritty details too.
see you around

I never had seen an image from this angle. here we can see how we are small in front of the large landscape. I hope to get nice images like that when I visit this place in the next weeks. a compo fantastic.
