Eleu was here too, and he knows this one, no doubt.
These old planes just enraptured us.
This is my first meeting with the Blue Angels.
We have made a stop in the Grand Canyon Valley Airport with Jason. It was a short break before the Canyon.

I've never seen a blue angel so close up, very interesting indeed.
I'm sure Eleu will enjoy it :)
Too bad you can't go into the cockpit and take some shots eh?
cool subjects, really like it.

Impressive pair of oldtimers! I'm sure that Blue Angel aircraft especially has interesting history. Colours go well together. Framing is even a bit too tight. I'd like to see the propeller on the left in complete.

Hey there Mr. Globetrotter! :)
I always smile when I see your pictures from Arizona, such great memories! I didn't make my way over to this side of the field, and wish I would have...looks like I missed some cool stuff. Neat to see this jet up close and personal, and even the more nostalgic one in the background. Now I can clearly see what you were up to over there! lol
A fine dedication to Eleu and his specialty, these are certainly impressive pieces of aviation...and the fact it's colored blue is pleasing to my preferences. Very nice grouping of these two past, glorious planes. Speaking of planes, get ready! :) Take good care my dear friend. Have a great day.
Cheers from the Grand Canyon state,

this is a fine picture of the two old planes, a scene that's different from the ones Eleu offers us but well composed and interesting. I like very much the colours and the textures which, along with the excellent depth, give us a strong perception of this setting and the impression that we can move inside the frame. You gave pleasing dynamism to your composition. I also like the warm light and atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,

I am glad you made your dream to see the Grand Canyon come true! It's amazing isn't it! Like you, when I was in Central Australia, I took an aerial tour using a helicopter. Expensive but so worth it. Effective tight framing on the 2 aircraft with fantastic colour and sharpness. Tfs!

Thank you Serghei! Yes, I've been to that airport in fact there's an Electra airplane their that was used by General Douglas McArthur during WWII. Nice little airport and I hope you got pictures of the old cars in the terminal also. Good capture of those old planes with good lighting and nice details. Well done, tfs.
Had awesome time at the Los Angeles County Air Show on March 21, I just posted a picture of a P-51C Red Tail Mustang for macjake.

Hello Dear Serghei,
At the outset, I like the composition with the juxtaposition of a pair of fairly old planes. That is probably a DC-3 in the back, and the small jet fighter in the foreground. Eleu would know well.
It was wonderful to see you in Pasadena. Thank you for attending my lecture at the Norton Simon Museum. The following day, we traveled back to Los Angeles and flew to Las Vegas for two days. Then we returned to Los Angeles, and boarded a plane for Washington, DC. I continued onto Istanbul, where I am now. This afternoon at 3:00 pm local time (4:00 or 5:00 pm in Russia, 5:00 am in California) I must give a lecture. We have now met in 2013 and 2014. I hope we can make it a habit in the future.

The point of view is showing with the details and the colors of the aircrafts. It is clear and sharp. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.
