I recently exchanged a few bar jokes with a fellow TE shutterbug, who shall remain nameless, so as not to get implicated if this is deemed to be in poor taste. Here’s one of the “one liners” that made me laugh, as well as gave inspiration for this shot:
“A dyslexic man walks into a bra.”
After a good chuckle, I got to thinking this may actually have some real world application, and so here is my realization of that bit of humor.
It’s a bit of a stretch, as this wasn’t the best angle to give the impression of walking “in” to a bra, but it’s the best I could come up with to avoid even more reflection from the glass or cars parked in front of the store. Not only that, but do you know how difficult it is to try and be inconspicuous and not look like a complete pervert with a camera and long lens, covertly taking a picture of a half dressed woman on a storefront advertisement? I’m just happy I didn’t end up on an episode of To Catch a Predator!
Thanks for stopping by.

My English is bad and I do not understand this joke. I know all words but I can't catch the sense. I have already noticed that jokes are more difficult to understand and when I am with native speakers, it happens they all chuckle and I am dumb or dumber. Maybe not the best sharpness and so on but funny illustration of the phrase.

Wandering the streets looking at ladies underwear and pretending it is in the cause of art and humour! Whatever next? A BOGO50%O offer on bras - how uplifting!
Did you hear about the dyslexic pimp? Opened up a warehouse!
See you have made me descend into the abyss now. I blame those 'flu meds - you have obviously popped too many. Made me laugh though - so you get a smiley face for sheer impertinence.
Be careful out there in that heat - B.

I know that joke too, and I must admit, I have never ever expected to see it visualized in such a manner, I am laughing like a loon at this.
What can I say on the image? It is a cool moment that you captured here which is bringing a big smile here, the timing is perfect. I also read the ad wrong, and thought it said "Buy one, get one" and thought that doesnt seem to be a special offer, totally missing the 50% off underneath. Then again, there are on or two distractions in the photo too.
Brilliant Jason, thanks for the classic sense of humour.
All the best

as you say, it's not obvious to take such a picture, so technically it is not perfect, but I don't mind as far as your "message" has been understood.
Really peak moment enhanced by the blurry man (the picture will be only a copy of the shop window if he was not there). So go to the bar!

reading your comment, and being a MAN, its 100% relateable in terms of having to be extremely careful with our cameras....i feel the same way about photographing children, and even worse, children or women at the beach! Yikes...that has MUGSHOT written all over it lol
Yet when a woman does it, its seemingly not so creepy...why is that?
cool story, made me laugh, and who cares if the guy is blurred, its more about the story anyhow.

A man passes near such an advertisment without even loking... and fast..., Jason.
Nice funny note, describe a joli situation.
A bit too fast to catch, nevertheless, made the best out of it.

Ha! Ha! Jason, this shows the level of my humour, I giggled out loud and just couldn't wait to share it with my husband and friends! Brian's quip is nearing the same level!
It shows how alert you are to your environment and photographic opportunities! Though the shot may be a little blurred, the fine composition and fun content carry it through!
My warm regards,

Victoria Secret pink sale!!!
Were you to enter that very femenine shop attracted by the prices and discover a subject for a possible joke?
The joke were ( my idea) you hiding trying to get a good angle for a perverse shot with the walking serious man not noticing the advertisement
Funny idea and great joke and title with your special sense of humor
Coool and pink

Ha ha!! You had me laughing with this one! Leave it to you to combine a joke with a photo op, and to actually find a scene that fits the joke perfectly. :-) Yes, it was a quick grab, but sometimes the opportunity appears and we have to rush to capture it. It definitely would have been hilarious of this guy was so mesmerized by the ad that he did walk straight into it, and thus "into a bra"!! Maybe if you would have lurked in the bushes for a few hours it would have eventually happened! :-)

the best and at the same time the worst about such scenes is the fact, they are all unique and never recur,so we have to handle fast and often without any preparations.
Love this one my friend!Hats off for your creativity and...of course your sense of humor:)Really envy you how excellently you can "build" the story of your pictures to make it even more interesting, funny and original to us.
Have a great weekend

I like your sense of humor. I think "a dyslexic man walks into a bar" would work here, see, into and out of could easily be confused by a dyslexic man.

Excellent snapshot. I like photos like this one, a combination of street life with commercial boards. In this case the combination of the man passing along board advertising on bra is superb. Nicely arranged in vertical format.
p.s. regarding my photo, the red spot is Swiss flag. The area is hiding the biggest military bunkers in Switzerland (today out of service).
