Montezuma Castle National Monument, located near Camp Verde, Arizona, in the Southwestern United States, features well-preserved cliff-dwellings. They were built and used by the Pre-Columbian Sinagua people, northern cousins of the Hohokam, around 700 AD The Structure is five stories and took about five centuries to complete. It was occupied from approximately 1100-1425 AD, and occupation peaked around 1300 AD. Several Hopi clans trace their roots to immigrants from the Montezuma Castle/Beaver Creek area. Clan members periodically return to their former homes for religious ceremonies. (From Wikipedia)

This is an amazing view and a kind of place I would rather expect to find somewhere in the Mideast or East Asia. The nice layers of the solid rock increases the spectacular beauty of castle. You have used the trees and their branches very well to frame the central view.

The setting of Montezuma Castle is absolutely awesome!
Building structures of five storeys in that time is already amazing.
Wonderful shot taken from a distance.
Good framing with the branches on top and at the bottom.
Best regards, Paul

Fine view of the Sinagua cliff dwelling, framed by the trees and low lighting detailing the textures and warm colors.
I would prefer changing the area to Sinagua Castle, since the Montezuma culture had nothing to do here.

A good long shot view of this castle built in the cliff. The framing with the trees is well done and the light is well managed. Sure a curious way to dwell.

Looks similar to Mesa Verde in Colorado. The red color of the mud brick adobe contrasts well against the blue sky. Good sharpness and excellent saturation. The dark branches add graphism as well as framing the subject nicely. Tfs!

What an amazing old Indian dwelling in the cliffs of a very s location must be a great place to visit I bet. Wonderful textures in the crust earth formation with layers are visible clearly from this point of view. Composition is great, wonderful light and tones just stands out to background blue. It's so very well taken and presented. Thanks to your informative description, Congrats.

This is a very well taken picture of this interesting cliff dwelling. Your note is also very interesting. I have seen similar "buildings" in France, but this one is really more impressive. A very good TE contribution!
