The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries throughout the Second World War. The Spitfire continued to be used as a front line fighter and in secondary roles into the 1950s. It was produced in greater numbers than any other British aircraft and was the only British fighter in continuous production throughout the war. (From Wikipedia)

this is great picture with the famous warplane superbly placed in the frame, its wings on the diagonal. Your lighting is very apt and the sharpness of your capture is amazing. Excellent detail action photo. The clean background an well optimized crop allows eyes to remain fixed on the airplane. Perfect viewpoint!! The blue sky also lends a lovely hue to the scene.

An excellent capture of this fine iconic grand old plane, a superb WW2 fighter - this reminds me of the movie Battle of Britain. This a great action capture and I even see the pilot, and great motion blur on the props. Brilliant crystal clear, pin sharp and the aircraft color scheme so well defined making her standout stunningly to the background. A truly authentic shot of the ultimate aircraft and you have done yourself proud with this one. Outstanding shot ! Congrats :))

its funny, sometimes these airplane photo's look like tiny model planes.
and this is certainly one of them
it hardly even looks real :)
love seeing the spread out wings and the propeller.
