Photographer’s Note
This was taken at a construction site that had these Sauaro cactus in a temporary plot until they could be replanted on new home sites. These cactus are protected and cannot be destroyed. So they may move to new locations during their lifetimes. Thanks for looking

Good evening Jymmy,
La taille de ces cactus est impressionnante, il vaut mieux rester à distance.
Le B&W fait bien ressortir les détails.

Hi Jimmy,
I really like this graphic shot! The strong light and patterns make this a great one in B&W. And your note is very interesting (if I'm not mistaken, in nature you would not find saguaros so close together, so it's a great explanation). I notice you took this iin 1998--if it's a scan, it is certainly well done technically!

Whitney

Jimmy,
very nice gathering of these Sauaro cactus. You really achieved a very nice sense of scale and depth with the cactus on behind the other. Obviously the play of shadows helped to achieve that even better.

Hello Jimmy,
The gradation of the sky is truly fine, and the depiction of cactus with luminous impression is also excellent.
Have a nice weekend! Hisashi

Hi Jimmy,
This is good stuff man, very good how you framed it so tight and present it in b&w. The title is well chosen and although i see some traces of pp work, that doesn't disturb me at all. It's the composition it self what i like a lot...good work.

Henk

i appreciate the vertical closeness of these giants, which is emphasized by the black and white detail!

I have been to Arizona, butnotsouth enough to see these Saguaro. I like a lot the black and white choice, and the high contrast, which makes a nice graphysm. I suggest a crop on the left, to make the picture almost square, as an alternative.

Hello Jimmy
The cactus recalls the movie from which the gunman comes out.
A monochrome photograph ..accuracy mysterious good feeling.. has finished.
Thank you for a good photograph.

Hello Jimmy,
It is the first time I saw this kind of subject dealt in B&W. It works very well thanks to the vertical stripes on the trunks.
Good idea and good realisation.
Yves.
