Yes it really is an iceberg. And yes the water was quite cold that day, but when you are used to it, it's ok, and put the 24 hour sunlight on the water and add some fun with friends and you have the Photo Moment. Water was about 12 feet deep.............and there were many bergs to choose from, but this one was the best. Alaska has much to offer, it just takes a great imagination and a good group of friends to make the impossible possible.

Good morning Brad and Welcome to TrekEarth!Waaaouch!....It makes me very cold indeed looking at this picture. What a brave man! I bet it didn't last for too long though!
Anyway, it's humouristic, original and the background is very impressive.
The sunny colour of the man stands out well against the white and grey background. He really looks as though he is defying the elements.
And let's hope he 'll be a defender of these icebergs, which are melting fast with global warming.
