Photographer’s Note
The Brothers are two small islands in Frederick Sound (part of Alaska's Inside Passage), just east of Admiralty Island. We anchored off West Brother for the night - it was calm enough that the captain didn't feel need for the usual more sheltered anchorage - and I shot this picture. Among others.

Hello Dan,
The beautifully anchored and solid terrain in the foreground, set against a dreamy, blurred view in the background — beautifully composed, beautifully exposed. Warm regards, Dan.
Have a great weekend. Are you back from Alaska, and did you see the ex-Governor?

Hello Dan -
Rather artistic with the sharp FG and the smoky/fog/hazy BG. I can see this as an Impressionist painting from the turn of the 19th/20th century. Well seen and presented.
Thank you for sharing.

Hello Daniel,
A beautiful view toward the water and mountains in the background. The sharp foreground create an interesting contrast with the distant range. Good perspective and properly exposed image. Thanks Daniel :-)

Hi Dan
A nice piece of virgin nature, the foreground on the right is essential to remove the flat impression from the overcast weather

Beautiful shot Dan. It has more of a morning feel than evening with the foreground perfectly lit, and the background in the mist.

Hi Dan,
Lovely shot from the top of the world.
Love how the striking green reflection of the evergreens gives way to the mysterious mist covering the distant mountains.

Hi Dan,
This is a very mood image, soft light filter by the overcast of fog of the lake, excellent depth created by the distance between the layers of main elements. the foreground treeline and rock so well focus and sharpness our vision goes strait there and once finish, we go on to discover the soft pale silhouette of the distant hills and mountains range in the haze. The reflection is beautiful also. Thanks Dan
