Photographer’s Note
Perseverence Lake is accessed by a steep, almost three mile trail, which includes boardwalks through muskeg swamps and many sets of steep, handmade, wooden steps. Those who persevere are rewarded with the tranquility and solitude of this exquisite lake. Lucky visitors may find themselves serenaded by one of the many wolf packs who inhabit our island.

Hi Judy,
Nice landscape from your aera, well framed with a good foreground, pity that the sky is white, but difficult with these strong contrast.

Hello Judy,
It's view is composed very well.In the foreground stones and green branches add feeling perspective only the sky is too pale.

Tous mes compliments,
Emilius

Hello Judy,
Very nice composition, so the bottom part is perfect, with good colors, nice reflection. The sky is not good , so I'm going to try a simple WS.
Thanks!

hi Judy
August and it should be ok to dip into the water?
This is a lovely scenery and very peaceful looking lake, even if the sky is not promising.
Nice work.

Hello Judy,
This is a fine shot of a lovely lake, beautifully framed by the branches, trees and rocks -- so good that I thought it worth doing a little WS to adjust the washed out sky and BG mountains. I hope you won't mind!
Best regards,
Mary

Hello Judy,
A very attractive photo from your corner of world. One which transmits peace and tranquillity and where one feels like being in the place of photo, in the middle of nature (an illusion, which the cropped WS version does not have). I like your composition with foreground, middle part and background, all with interesting details. The reflections on the water are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

Wolf pack serenades, Judy are you kidding? Honestly I would not be happy to have wolves around me at all. I prefer the Gibbons, they cry and call as well, but at least they will not attack humans. Wolves I guess are a different story. There are other monkeys I would not like to be alone with, some of them can be very nasty. Certainly your lake looks very peaceful, but I'm not so keen in such neighbors like wolves. When I look at the lake I can see that you have a perfect reflection of the sky and clouds there, but your real sky is washed out. This effect happens when there are too many stops between the FG and BG. There are two ways to go around: measure the sky and measure the FG, then calculate the average aperture and set the time manual as well. Or buy a gradual gray filter medium and use that one to cover the brightest region of your picture, in this case the sky. Otherwise your picture is perfect with sharpness, DOF and colors
Well done
Best regards
Urs
