Photographer’s Note
Here is a second look at the Alyeska Marine Terminal in Valdez, Alaska. It is also another look at The Midnight Sun. The sun is setting on the right of the photo. There are two oil tankers to the right of the terminal. Hard to see until I upgrade my camera next month. The waters in between Valdez, where I am standing, and the terminal is Prince William Sound. I have a description on my previous post of the Alyeska Terminal
This was taken about midnight last night. One of the longest days of the year. Today's sunrise was 03:30 am. Last night's sunset was around midnight. Temperatures vary from the days high of 67 degrees and the night's low of 50 degrees.
I cropped the photo on the right and the top to bring the terminal in best I could. May be a bit grainy in the distance. I adjusted the colour of the mountain just a little so you could see the detail better.
The pier-like structures you see in the foreground are used for docking the ferry that cruise the coast of Alaska.

Hi Mae, A very well taken special natural phenomenon of the midnight sunset. The sunset color in beautifully shown in the sky and on the top of the mountains. The light in the dusk have shown their lights. A perfect timing to have use both of the daylight and electrical light in the picture. It looks that this is a quiet and peaceful place at sunset, which is understandable because of the time was midnight :D.
A well taken picture. Thanks you for sharing.

Hi Mae,
The Midnight Sun must be a great experience, I'd like to see it once! Very nice picture, great mountains on the other side of the water and I like the reflections as well. Good work! :-D

Beautiful photo and sharpness and interesting note. I find the white box to the left of the photo a little distracting but it is a beautiful view so don't think it really matters! Stunning!

Amazing landscape. I should go there once in my life. I would be tempted to crop a part of the bottom. Interesting note.

Hi Mae,
Excellent landscape shot. Love the colours of the "morning" though it is midnight there. Nice framing though i wish the structure on the right was not there. nice informative notes on this one. Didnt know anything about this till i went through your notes.
Nice work
