Photographer’s Note
Sunset above the Talkeetna River with Denali Mount McKinley and Mount Foraker in the distance.
We asked for a good a location for evening shots in the town of Talkeetna and we where pointed towards the river which proed ideal for views of Denali in the evening light.
I took some wide shots like this one but also a lot of close-ups of this magnificient mountain.
For this shot the camera was only 15 cm off the ground. The 10mm wide angle (on a crop sensor) makes it look like the rocks are further away than just a hand span.

Hauke,
Nice colours of the sky contrasting with the grey of the foreground and the river. Perhaps I would have tried to go for a lower angle so you still get the foreground rocks but this would allow for the horizon to be lower and therefore allowing for more sky to be seen, with those great colours.
Just personal preference though, I like the shot very much as it is.
TFS,
Richard.
