Photographer’s Note
Hi All.
This photo was taken in Tracy Arm, a 25 mile long steep-walled fjord with a 90 deg bend in the middle forming the elbow. At the head of the fjord are the twin Sawyer glaciers. Due to the marked activity of the glaciers the fjord was choked with ice and we were not able to get far enough into the fjord to see the glaciers.
The berg in the photo was about the size of a car (the bit above the water) so it was slow going with plenty of time to take in the scenery and of course take photos.
Enjoy,
Paul.

Dear Paul,
The copper sulphate blue tinge on the iceberg is nice. Exposure adjustment for the ice slab has reduced the detail of the tunnel on the left.
It needs photo-shop help to select and adjust parameters for that area.
Best wishes.

Paul,
Amazing contrast in this one.
Ice brightness and its reflections make the picture, and I like a lot the cliffs in the BG.
Regards,
JB.

It is a nice picture with a very good water surface and reflection. The white iceberg gives a good contrast to the surrounding environment. I have seen similar things when I went to the San Rafael Glacier in the Chilean Patagonia. Well done.

Hi Paul,
This is a wonderful compo ... the natural color contrast between the white iceberg against the rock outcrop in the background is just superb. Nice reflections to add dimension to the scene. Well captured and composed ... excellent work!

This is a beautiful image. The blue and white of the iceberg, so pristine, is in stark contrast to the earthy tones all around. You also captured some interesting reflections.

Hi Paul,
fascinating reduction of colours. Brown and white, that's it. Works also interesting in black&white, I made a try. Cold impression, excellent texture of ice.

Hi Paul,
It took me a while to realize it was a small iceberg, as the BG doesn't show any evidence of cold! Rather the opposite, I'd say!
I love the water texture and the shine and reflection on it.
Great sharpness too

The colours are fantastic and the light is perfect. I don't think you could better the quality or the sharpness, they are just outstanding.Well done.

Bonjour Paul,
cet petit iceberg flottant a des allures de cygnes gracieux sur ces eaux calmes.
J'aime beaucoup les reflets bleutés discrets dans la glace, ils s'opposent qux couleurs plutôt brunes du reste de la photo.
Best regards.

Must be a little strange to see such a frozen thing, especially in an autumn mood. A little unreal to me.
