This shot was taken on one of the many Glaciers covering the West coast of Alaska. The guide had to hold on to me so I didnt slip in!
The colours are purely from the closely packed ice and the depth of this bore hole. Believe me it was a long drop - a stone droped by the guide took at least 45 seconds to hit anything.

very good photo, creates the feeling of presence. even more, feels like the beautiful blue drags the viewer into the hole :) simple shot, but with a story in it. I just wonder if you have tried to sharpen it a bit and slightly adjust levels/curves to bring out the texture of the ice?
