Photographer's Note

Asiatic doves have either migrated or escaped from pet-status and have found a home on our island for the last several years. Many pairs visit bird feeders and roost together. I caught these two in the tree right outside my dining room window. We find it hilarious that some people find their "hoots" irritating. They definitely add to our landscape in spring!

I am afraid this couple will be in jeopardy from the ensuing cold. An appealing autumn reds surrounding the gray dove image, and the end of summer.
