Hello Judy,
A brave attempt but I think you would have been much better served to have had a tripod and dropped back the ISO which is creating so much noise in the dark areas of your shot. The other minor point is, I think you should have cloned out that stick in the camera left of frame, it is distracting.
I like your POV, there is a lot of interest in the capture and your composition works very well.
The pink tones on the horizon are very pretty.
Regards
Peter

Hello Judy,
This is the first time that I see seaplanes on a platform.
Also the pink colours in background are very nice and attractive.
Very well colour and composition. TFS.
Have a nice day,
John.

Dear Judy
What a beautiful sunset and peaceful setting. I can imagine that these pilots have a lot of work and have to fly in all weather, what can be dangerous. The float planes are a prefect foreground to give your picture the DOF boost. The red hues going into the blue hues are simply wonderful. Well done.
Have a nice day and nice weekend
Best regards

hello Judy
a nice capture of this elusive blue hour. I like the diagonal line in the bottom part of this composiiton along with its evocative grain.
PS : I envy you to live in such a beautiful area.

Hello Judy
I never knew planes could be 'parked' this way. I saw this post of yours the day you posted & was about to comment on it, before something came up & I never was able to do the same.
Good things first...I like the POV, with the diagonal (of the metal pier & the dangling rope) working well as a lead-in. the sky is beautiful with nice tonalities.
There's noise in the picture thanks to the high ISO. While it can be removed with Noise reduction softwares available, I agree with Peter regarding using a tripod & lowering the ISO to 400 levels. But I don't want to take away anything from your beautiful picture

Ooooh, my goodness, Judy,
that's a lovely view. I love the calmness and quiet atmosphere. Outstanding composition with the dock at an angle into the water, beautiful, soft evening colors, nice detail even in the shadowed parts and a wonderful balance. I am quite envious. Great shot! Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

Hello Judy -
This is a nice image with some nice details both in the FG and the BG. I like the colors and the smooth changes in the pastel colors. I see in the tech stuff that you used an f/3.5 aperture and there was no note of a tripod. I feel this image would be much better with an f/11 or f/16 aperture to render everything sharply in focus. The tripod would have allowed for the much longer exposure. Likewise, the longer exposure would have smoothed out the water as well. When on the tripod don't forget to use a cable release as you don't want to touch the camera with a long exposure. Anyway, nice image - I like it.
Thank you for sharing.
John

the bottom part looks a bit different than usual . is it blur or some sort of lack of neatness I dont really know what may have caused it. other than that it is a perfect moment for taking photos.
