Photographer’s Note
Lunch Creek falls is a short walk along a salmon stream which can be accessed by trail from the north end of our 42 miles of paved road on our island. In the fall, pink salmon migrate up this stream to spawn, and you might see deer and bear along the trail. Wolves can be occasionally heard singing their mournful songs in our backcountry.

Oh my, Judy,
what a lovely scene! It looks so cool and fresh and the light and color are wonderful. Excellent composition and it reminds me of a painting as much as a photograph. It's beautiful. My compliments from a still cloudy and rainy and HOT South Carolina. Many thanks,
Shelly

Hello Judy,
A very fresh image full of light, full of serenity too. Very nice natural colours and good framing. I like too the balalnce between the river and the forest.

Hi Judy,
I see that is a lovely place, at least in summer (I don't like snow).
This picture is wonderful. Now, maybe next fall you can get this with a salmon included; it would be very nice to show here to TE members that live so far from your beautiful place.
Greetings,
Francisco

Oh Judy! You make me so envious. What a wonderful place to live and hike. Can't wait for pictures of salmon. This is a simply gorgeous shot. I much prefer fairly fast shots like yours to longer exposures that blur the details and movement of this kind of waterfall. Congratulations.

Emilius

Hello Judy,
I like the wonderful sense of wilderness in this photo. The place looks like a paradise! A good composition, beautiful natural colours and excellent clarity. I also prefer fairly short exposure times in shooting moving water as in your shot. A photo to dream in.
Warm greetings,
Lasse

A very nice picture indeed, which actually reminds me of a similar place along a nearby river where I used to go often in my childhood making little "boats". The wild life could have been a great bonus in the picture. Then again, isn't there a bear behind the birches? :)

Hi Judy
This small river looks refreshing in particular when I consider today's humid weather. The water looks cool. Possibly there are also some fishes. The color hues are nice and the mini waterfall takes all the attention of the viewer. Fine sharpness and DOF. well done
Best regards
Urs
