Photographer’s Note
Ketchikan's historic red light district is reflected in the calm waters of Ketchikan Creek, as the high tide pushes the creek up under the pilings of the boardwalk. Dolly's House, with its bright, red door, has been preserved as Dolly left it, and visitors can climb the rickety stairs to peek into drawers, cupboards, and closets of Creek Street's most famous lady of ill-repute. This shot was taken in the late evening's, blinding sunshine, after the tourists had left and quiet returned to the area.

Hello Judy,
Just joined TE and it had changed! A totally new look. Most features are as before, but I am missing the view, which shows the recent photos of my favourite photographers. This other view from Creek Street is lovely too and shows the architecture of the houses very well from this POV. Beautiful colours and good clarity. The reflections are very attractive. Thanks for sharing!
Best regards,
Lasse

those houses seem like hotels convenient for resting and having a good time by seaside . the light of the day is clearly visible as well as the blue tones on the water is worth looking

Hi Judy,
Nice, colorful view of the street.
As you wrote "historic red light district", I suppose it isn't functioning as a red light district anymore.
For example Amsterdam's red light district is active, but at the same time is also a tourist attraction.
Greetings,
Francisco

Hi Judy,
Without the tourists this place is perhaps very peaceful. I like this type of settings as is so far away from most civilization. The image is well composed. Its colours and details give it a natural feel. Good point of view. Thanks Judy :-)

Judy,
This is a nice shot of this waterfront village. The angle of the shot is great leading the eye through the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The reflection adds depth and texture for the scene.

Hi Judy
Looks very peaceful and idyllic. Your colors are vivid and the sharpness is very crisp. It could be that the green of the trees has a slight blue hue. Thanks to the river, DOF is perfect. Well done
Best regards
Urs
