Photographer’s Note
Sunset along the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska. Situated just west of British Columbia, the Alexander Archipelago consists of a chain of islands which are protected from the tumultuous outside waters of the open ocean to the west. While the waters often look glossy and calm, this area experiences 14 foot tides which can make navigating the Inside Passage quite a challenge.

hi Judy
This looks like a great place to observe sunsets, from Alaska.
The scenery did not have a dramatic color tone of sunset at this moment but the sea scape makes up very interesting view, especially with the cloud formation above as if a curtain was drawn across.
The photo size is smaller than 800pixel, so you need to fix the size first before compression.
Nice work.

Hello Judy,
Am original and beautiful sunset, with a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere. I like the silhouetted islands, the textures of the sea and the clouds are really special here. I did not realize from your shots that you could have 14 feet tides!
Thanks,
Lasse

Hi Judy,
Impressive landscape you have there. The small islands with the trees growing look wonderful.
Lovely colours, all shades of blue with a little bit of pink thrown in.
Bill has already told you about the posting size, it will make a big difference.
Excellent title for your shot, it does very much remind me of Oklahoma.
Good work, looking forward to your next post. There aren't too many TE members in your neck of the woods.

Hello Judy,
Never seen your pictures before, but it's better late than never so to speak ;-)
You live in a great state which stands high on my list to visit someday. Nature at his best and when luck it also brings some spectacular light in the scenery. But it's also the landscape it self what looks magical, wide, open, almost untouched by human presence....for sure a state i would like to go to one.
Your photo with a warm touch of sunlight in the sky and on top those stunning cloud formations like if they were paint strokes made by some master painter....very beautiful.
As said, a breathtaking scenery....very good work.

Henk

Hello Judy,
I agree with previous writers this is a lovely picture.
Soft for look at.
One advice, I would the picture make something bigger, 800 x 533 and 300kb.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Hi Judy
A really had to search in your gallery what I have not yet critiqued. You really should go more for photo hunting, I like your eye e.g. photo style. In the past I must have overlooked this picture, sorry for that. What makes it outstanding are these cloud lines ore flare in blue pulling the viewer to the horizon and the sunset. It's stunning. to see all the contrasts and blue hues against the reddish hue. I'm not 100% sure about the sharpness of the island, but it's difficult to say. Otherwise well done
Best regards
