A gorgeous landscape and what a lovely atmosphere! The photo gives an impression of a vast untouched wonderland. An excellent composition and most beautiful colours with perfect clarity and sharpness.
The clouds touching on the mounting tops is a nice detail. A photo to dream in ...

This is a superb shot of such a lovely scenery. I like the blue sky and more so, the large white patch of clouds just above the hills. The bright light brings good strong color and contrast to this scene. I also like the inclusion of the 2 figures on the FG, because it adds a good sense of scale to this view.

I only wish you could resize it to 800pixel and push your compression to 100% to reach 300kb filesize limit, because this way you will get high resolution and quality.

Perhaps it would also help if you write just a bit more note to tell about this wonderful place, as if you are promoter of this tourist destination :) and want to do a good job. Who knows, maybe a full load of visitors will come to this spot!

I share your title for this scenery. Good choice!

Fantastic natural scenery and a masterful composition. Not only the coastal sight is a very fine one but that huge clouds in the sky add a special flavor and atmosphere. The presence of the two people (so small) gices a enhanced sense of vast space.

Hello Judy,

The presence of the two people in the photograph adds both scale and the human factor. Just the fact that one of them is standing (perhaps bracing himself to take a photograph or looking through a a pair of binoculars) is especially effective. You've captured the haunting beauty of the scene. Thank you for giving us all a chance to be there vicariously.

This really is spectacular -- congratulations. Just one thing, though. I would suggest enhancing the green of the forested islands and slopes slightly to enhance the image and achieve what I suspect would be greater accuracy (see WS).

Hi Judy,
Yes you have the right title for this one, Spellbinding.
The way that cloud is just hanging above the mountains, dumping buckets of rain I suspect, looks spectacular against that beautiful blue sky. The people in the foreground really gives the image scale, wow, wide open spaces in a clean untouched wilderness, fantastic.

a wonderful photo - solitude in the great nature. What I appreciate the most are the clear colours as the consequence of the beautiful northern light. And the smallness of humans against such landscape is well-shown by your perspective.

Absolutely impressive view. Looks like the edge of the world, a land untouched by a human. The sense of space is even bigger when looking at 2 figures in the foreground. Great work.

Bonjour Judy,
une contrée sauvage que l'Alaska et qui figure parmi mes destinations favorites avec l'Islande et le Groenland ainsi que le nord de la Norvège.
Une formation nuageuse inquiétante que l'éloignement nous permet de mieux comprendre et observer.
Des lumières exquises qui donnent des couleurs naturelles et notamment un ciel d'un bleu magnifique.

You are right, to title it spellbound, it really is. It looks great. What that person in the foreground is looking at? Possible the same island we all are watching. The clouds give the image a certain magic. It's like a fairytale. With all these land, water and island your picture has gotten a fine DOF, high sharpness and vibrant colors - congrats. A dreamy shot, like not many

Not sure what attract me the most here: the people or the cloud in the distance! I guess is the fine combination of the two in this image. The light was nice when you shot this image. The view is breathtaking and wild. Definitely a place I would love to visit someday!
